Hello Dorte,Manganese carbonate is about half the strength of manganese dioxide. Birdie prefers manganese carbonate. If you use dioxide, half the full amount in order to match the capacity of the carbonate. More nuanced colors are possible with lower concentrations of manganese. Read full comment

I am trying to mix your glaze, and wonder which is right in terms of the manganese - do you use dioxide or carbonate? you say both in the video, and the written recipie is with dioxide, but you say it is carbonate, which you prefer.. so which is it? :) Thanks Read full comment
